First and foremost, MERRY CHRISTMAS! From my family to yours, we are wishing you the safest and happiest holidays of all! I know that this has been a trying year for a lot of people. For me, this time of the year isn't about spending money, but spending time and making precious memories with loved ones.
How do you spend that time? Do you have any big holiday traditions that you look forward to? One of my favorite things to do during this time of year is making all kinds of great snacks! With it being Christmas Day, I wanted to share a list of great holiday snack ideas. The first one up is a staple that I love to make during Christmas time!
Thumbprint cookies are classics where you can fill the thumbprint with a variety of options. These are great to make in bulk and you can invite friends or family to join in on the baking fun! Check out a great recipe for this snack here. Pictured below is the most recent batch that I made!
DIY cranberry garlands were a decorative snack idea featured in the newsletter (if you aren't currently subscribed to it, click here to do so!) that went out on Wednesday! Those can be as sleek or not as you want them to be. Using spray-on acrylic sealant, you can have them last as tree decorations for weeks. Or skip the sealant and have a great snack while reading a great book such as Bottle of Uncertainty! You can find the recipe for this holiday snack idea here.
Another holiday snack idea that was featured in the newsletter was one that is super kid friendly: reindeer treats! This snack encompasses the great flavor mixture of sweet and salty. Find out how easily it can made here.
Wanting something more grown up? Try these festive guacamole appetizers at your next adult shindig. Just because they say that they're appetizers, doesn't mean you can't eat them as a snack! Have a look at how to make these here.
If you're looking for a super simple recipe for a beloved snack, look no further! Peppermint popcorn takes all of 10 minutes to prep and can yield so much! If you love the mixture of salty popcorn and sweet peppermint, you HAVE to try this recipe.
In closing, I want to acknowledge that this season of giving is ending super successfully! Some incredible people have bought several of my bundles to be donated to a toy drive. And thanks to some amazing purchases that were made this month, I will be able to donate $50 worth of toys and needed items to my local animal shelter! I am so appreciative of everyone who helped make these things happen. Merry Christmas to you all!
