Ski Trips in NE

Living on the Northern East Coast, skiing and snowboarding are great winter sports that many love to do. My husband snowboards and I ski and my parents taught me when I was just 5 years old. This is a hobby that I’m glad I was introduced to at a young age and maintained throughout my life. Today I want to share with you my top 10 favorite NE mountains to visit.

  1. Killington, VT – what an amazing mountain that is sure to bring something for all experience levels. Not only are the views magnificent but there are trails for everyone even at the top!
  2. Pat’s Peak, NH- Great mountain that\’s fun and can be great for a weekend visit. Bonus is that they have night skiing hours as well!
  3. Bolton, VT- Fun mountain that has some pine trails as well for the more adventurous. Also great for cross country skiing atmosphere and close to Burlington which has great town life.
  4. Catamount, NY- Catamount is a hidden gem I feel, it has become one the best mid-sized ski areas on the East coast and offers a great variety of terrain in southern New England! Awesome mountain for all levels of experience.
  5. Sunday River, Maine- Sunday River is the perfect destination for a longer trip that can offer so much. There are 8 peaks that can be enjoyed by all whether you\’re a corduroy carving expert or getting out there for the first time. Bonus is that they do offer night skiing hours.
  6. Loon Mountain, NH-  This mountain is located in a small quaint town in NH that offers all that you want to escape to. Whimsical atmosphere with tons of activities and adventures for all!
  7. Butternut Mountain, MA- Looking for a couple hours of great skiing without having to travel up north- Butternut is sure to deliver a great day of fresh powder, fun and exercise for all whether it\’s your 1st or 100th time getting on the mountain.
  8. Whiteface Mountain, NY- Great vertical hills and wide trails that bring a variety of adventure and thrill. There is something here for everyone and it has a great town with restaurants and nightlife to help you unwind from a great day of shredding the mountain.
  9. Sundown Mountain, CT- Great mountain that offers night skiing, fun and enough terrain to get the blood pumping and keep your skill set up to snuff in between ski trips!
  10. Mohawk Mountain, CT- We frequent this mountain often as it offers a variety of trails, night skiing and has become our go to when looking for a weekday ski sheesh!
