Disney World Must-Haves

How long has it been since you’ve spent the day at Disney World? If guesses were needing to be made, the answers would sway in the direction of “too long” or “many years”, right? That’s completely understandable. Life happens and before you know it, you’re an adult creating your own families and memories.

Family vacations are a great way to create those happy memories together. Exploring new worlds of creatures, magic, and adventures at Disney World is the golden ticket to having fun with the people you love. Not everyone lives near Orlando, Florida. Those that don’t have that luxury will need to plan ahead and pack some essentials to make the trip as comfortable as possible for the entire family.

What you decide to bring is completely up to your own preferences and what you know will work best for you and your family. However, sometimes it’s a good idea to think back to the necessities that will help make a fun day at Disney World just a tab bit easier for everyone. Some of those necessities would include (but are not limited to):

Sunscreen. This is super important, especially for the children. Their skin is much more susceptible to burn from the sun than the adults. However, it’s necessary and would help in the long run since a good portion of everything is outdoors.

Snacks. Theme park food is so delicious, but it can be overpriced. It may seem like a hassle to carry around an ice chest or cooler bag full of food, but on the bright side, you won’t have to become hangry from waiting in long lines.

Plenty of water. With the amount of walking that everyone will be doing, water will become your best friend that day. Staying hydrated is very important (in everyday life) when spending time in the heat. No one wants to experience a heat stroke. Save a life and drink some water.

Comfortable shoes. The worst mistake to make is to dress up nice and wear shoes that you know will hurt your feet after so long. Save yourself the headache and wear something you know will give your feet the support they’ll need.

Loose clothing. Don’t torture yourself and wear something that fits snug on you. The heat will have you crawling out of them very shortly after arriving at the park. You’ll thank yourself at the end of the day for wearing clothing that felt like you could breathe and easily feel the wind in.

Regardless of what you take with you to Disney World, just be sure to bring things that will make life easier for you and your family. Think smarter not harder. Theme parks are fantastic places for families and people of all ages to experience. Just remember to stay present in the moments and soak in all the wonders, magic, and pixie dust that Disney World has to offer!
